NatureCenterandRefuge_0126.JPG - I had visited this wilderness park about one year before, having went with 2 friends who originally discovered the park. I had recently purchased a Konica Dimage Z6 and wanted to try it out somewhere with plenty of scenery. I hoped to get a few wild animals as well.
This journey was a solitary one and what I had with me consisted mainly of one water bottle and the camera and case. It was a very hot summer day but having it rain would have helped with taking pictures.
This first picture depicts the main walk in entrance and just beyond is a welcome center, commonly called an Interpretive center and has with-in it, maps of the area, a large Snake exhibit, general park information and air conditioning. I acquired a Map and later was glad I did. The Nature Center offers a trail hike possibility of at least 20 miles.
