This Natural Park Center is a wilderness comprised of forests, prairies, and wetlands.
Native flora and fauna, and wild animals thrive with-in this serene wilderness park.
The Nature Center and Refuge offers the avid hiker 20 miles of trails which provide easy
access to a myriad of natural wonders to be found on the Refuge.

After a while I decided to use my vehicle to travel around and drove to various spots in the Nature and Refuge Center. I'm glad I did as I was able to cover a lot more terrain. I was heading to an area called the Marsh Board Walk when I saw these wild flowers just off the roadway. I decided laying down near them provided the best angle and that resulted in various cockle burs getting all in my shirt. But it was worth it. [...] |
